Failed car test twice, mainly for being 17 and God's gift to driving.
Failed bike test once (on the round the block twice test) for proving a
    lorry's brakes worked.

It was only an imaginary test.

  5. Examiners then didn't have to wear a seatbelt (I'm not sure if that's
still the case), and he probably thought he'd braced himself enough, the
    twat.

Not too bad thanks - busy though. Hope you're similarly happy. I'll be
certain to drop by if I'm ever in the area.

  7. As soon as I get the spare time and funds to revalidate - I haven't
exercised the privileges of my licence since 1995. It's possible that
    *anything* else would be cheaper...

There is the NPPL now which is slightly cheaper (no expensive
    medical).

If you're lucky enough to live out in the sticks then you might be
able to find a friendly farmer who'll let you fly out one of his
fields in a PFA aircraft. That brings the cost down to, oooh, only
about as expensive as keeping a horse in livery.)

I'm planning on naffing off to Florida this summer, providing exchange
rates stay as favourable as they are at the moment. Anyone know any
decent dollar accounts you can operate from the UK [1]?

[1] i.e. Not the ones I've found so far via google which charge
between 0.5% and 1.5% to pay the money in, then another 0.5 to 1.5% to
take it out again ... and don't pay much interest either!
