Passed car test first time, after avoiding an accident on a round-a-bout.
Did a short DAS course / test after farting about on small bikes for 8
years from age 18. Passed second time, after a silly non indicator event
    on a round-a-bout. Damn... :/

The second test was easy peasy, and I even managed to loose the bloke that
was testing me. No faults on that one.))

    Thankfully, no.

I'm not giving up, so be warned.

  4. I see your point, however I have no problem riding the bike (passed
the bike test first time) wherever I take it. Driving lessons or
other L-plated adventures are fine; it's just when I get to the test
that the pressure gets to me.
    There is; it's called "life".

  5. I've been lucky with examiners; rather, they've been unlucky with me.

Bike test; usual round a series of corners from the test centre while
the examiner nips up footpaths and alleyway to spy on you in traffic.
The round the streets bit was ok until the emergency stop bit. The daft
fucker leapt out in front of me and I ran over his foot.

Still passed though; I think he was impressed at how I didn't lose
    control.

Car test; all went ok, pretty boring really (I had a bloody good
instructor) until the emergency stop (again). The examiner smacked the
dashboard with his hand and I applied brakes; thinking I wasn't slowing
fast enough, I applied them full on, max stoppie. The poor sod (who
wasn't wearing his seatbelt) lamped the dashtop and windscreen with his
    nut.

Still passed though; I think he was suffering from concussion.

Car test and Theory - aced them first time, 13 hours of lessons. The
instructor was chuffed as I was his first clean sheet.

Bike test and Theory - aced theory, was just told I passed the
practical. I can't remember the sheet, so I hesitate to say I aced that
one too, but I wasn't told of any faults. This was with 3 and half days
    of training.

FWIW, I only went for my tests after my big off. The first car lesson
was the first time I'd driven on the road since the accident, and the
first day of training was the first time I'd ridden a bike.

You know what I mean, ya daft sod. My surprise on my car test was
because I almost pulled out of the (v tight) parking space into an
oncoming car because I forgot to check my mirrors. I would have failed
me, so I did the rest of the test calmly, as 'practice' and passed. My
surprise on my bike test was because in practise, I had consistently
stuffed up the U-turn and, come the test, it was a road much smaller
than I had practised on. I did that, and went singing through the rest
of the test. Thank heavens for one-way radios.

    Well done to you!
Car test - 15 lessons was all I could afford, so I had to pass. No
practise in Daddy's car either. No theory in those days, or list of
faults for points, but two were pointed out to me on passing.
Bike test - CBT and two 1 hour lessons on the 125. I took the test on
the 125. 8 minor faults but hey, who cares? Not I.
The first time I ever rode a bike was for the CBT as well.

How ya doin' Christofire? Pop in and visit if you're ever down here,
you know where we live. :)
