the FZ seems to have a packet of tools under the seat. The 9R had one
too. not sure they ever got used though.

  2. Never knew that. Sounds rather sensible, actually.

I wonder how you'd it nowadays?

"Please demonstrate which Windows programme you you use in order to
diagnose the fault indicated when this warning light flashes four
    times."

Actually, I can think of a few more:

"How many times would you wave the 'wanker' sign up and down in the
event of being cut up at a roundabout?"

"Please indicate the necessary bass frequency for your stereo to vibrate
    the windows visibly."

"Which beer bottle label most closely resembles this year's tax disc?"

"If you are proceeding down this street at 57mph and the lights ahead
turn red, how many yards will you travel before you say: 'Sod it' and
    accelerate through them?"

This is a bit of a trick question isn't it? "A browser and Google" ?
    I know this one. 3
    Assuming a sealed sub-bass? ~27Hz?
Right ... erm ... thinking distance = 400 yards, wheel spin distance
    = 50 yards so 477 yards?

    What do I win? ;-)

BMW - so yes, decent tool kit. Hasn't seem much use either, which might
    surprise a few people.

Harley - no idea if they do come with a decent tool kit or not but you
    do seem to need one.

Someone who has taken a car driving test, recently, may be able to
confirm, but I recall something recent where candidates had to
indicate where to put oil and top up fluids...
    "Scanmaster, wobd, digimoto..."

"A few, while following the **** and calling me hoodie mates so we can
kick **** out of him..." Seems to be the required response.

Main bike = Guzzi. Came secondhand without a toolkit. I *think* it
would've lived under the RH sidepanel; there's a sad, empty hook
there. There's actually nowhere else to store stuff; no underseat tray
    or anything.

Best tookit I've ever had that came with a bike... err, it's a toss-up
between the K100RS and, oddly, the TL1000R.

Both the R1 and the Aprilia have toolkits; I think the Aprilia one
might be the better of the two.

    CB13: 8/10/12/14/17/22/24mm spanners; 4/5/6mm allens, three
screwdriver blades; C-spanner; plug wrench; pliers; tommy bar.

GL15: As above, less C-spanner, plus feeler gauges

I haven't a clue what's in the Versys toolkit because it's never been
removed from where it sits under the seat. It'll probably stay there
too because I wouldn't even dream of putting shite tools to my bike.

Can't recall what was in the Triple's kit, but it was a bit more than
that. Sounds about the same for the ST's

Mined Ewe, with the ST you can do fuese and stuff without it, mostly.
Getting the seat if is an arse, but there's sweet FA under it.....

Decent enough for me when accompanied by a small, yellow card with the
    letters 'AA' printed on it.

  10. Coming back from Kent and the Kent Beer Fest towing my van (sorry) I was
joining the M25 from the M20 link. The over heads were doing the 50 30
10 mph Q as the traffic on the M25 was stationary. I indicate to pull to
the right to join the queue. The only things moving were bikes.

Jack the Lad in a big bore Astra who had been accelerating up on me from
behind, with out slowing from 70 - 80 ish, went past on the inside, arm
out the window looking at my car waving a wanker sign to the amusement
of his car full of spotty oiks.

When hid did look forward he found the traffic in front of him
stationary and a broken down vehicle on the hard shoulder. He
disappeared into the bushes and rearranged a few before coming to a
    halt.

I joined the M25 and noticed the near side queue were clapping to the
    spontaneous entertainment.
A lad, not that for from where I live (on the way to the pub) has a
hatch back bought for his 17th(?) with a load of driving lessons. But as
he skived of most of his school life and can't read he has a problem
passing his test. So he sits in his car in his parents front garden
every day, revving the engine, with his stereo (costing more than the
car I guess) full blast. He even has the wipers on when it's raining.
