Turtle wax color magic

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Carmichael, Oct 26, 2010.

  1. Can I use this stuff on my fairings? It says ideal for coloured fibreglass
but avoid using it on plastic. I don't know what fairings are made of.

Ive always been dissatisfied with Turtle Wax. Ive found Simoniz much
better, the extra money well worth it...

Pulimento Titan works wonders, man. Apply, extend, let dry and "frota" with
    a piece of cloth.

    I wouldn't, 'cos it's shite.
Road fairings certainly aren't fibreglass, they're painted plastics.

Back in the day when ICBA to clean my bike or my car to any decent
level, I always used Autoglym products.

Dunno, but I do know I used it on the clear screen of my BMW K1100LT
and it stripped off all the anti-scratch coating (as you find on
visors). It all sort of curled up and flaked off.

My advice: try it on a very small hardly-visible bit of bodywork and
see what happens before you anoint the whole bike with it.

But coated with paint, so it's fine.
