I have a 1984 Honda V65 Sabre with a few turn signal problems. To
start with, I purchased the bike from a guy whose intent was to part
it out. Before I got it, the head light and speedo/tach unit was
gone. The tach/speedo unit, I was able to find one in a boneyard, and
the headlight also. However, the removal of the previous headlight,
the person just cut wires and did not just "unplug" the connectors. I
have managed to get everything working but the horns and the turn
signals. The Clymer manual I have, the wiring diagram does not match
the colors of wires in the harness that is on the bike. SO.. I am
hoping I can get a little help in figuring out several things.

One, the color of the two wires from the horn button instead of
removing the perch control on the left side of the bars that contains
the horn, hi/low beam, clutch switch..etc... the manual shows a grn
and a grn/wht, but those two are actually the wires to the clutch
switch on the bike. DOes anyone have a manual or know exactly what
colors the two wires from the horn button are? I can easily hook a
horn up if I could find the two wires from the horn even if I had to
just hard wire them with a fuse to a aftermarket horn.

Two, as you look into the head light shell, there two "small plastic
cannisters" one on the left and the other one on the right. These
should be the turn signal relay boxes.. one being the turn signal
relay and the other ...maybe the cancel box. The 84 Sabre does not
show as having the auto self cancel mechanism... .. So.. on the box
on the right as you look into the shell... there is a cannister with a
1x3 connecctor with a red wire, a grey wire and a green wire that is
not attached to anything. The green wire that is not attached has 12
    volts on it.

On the left is a cannister that has a 2x2 connector.. with a dark
blue wire coming out of it that does not connect to anything....tape
around it too. I didn't measure it to ground. So I don't know what
it is. An orange/white wire goes to this particular cannister, from
the wiring diagram I do have, this orange and white wire goes to all
    turn signals..

So... rough discription, I know, but does anybody know what is what
from the info I have given? ... before I can even replace the turn
signla relays, I still need to get the wiring corrected. Maybe
someone has a real factory wiring diagram of the 1984 Sabre .. that
maybe better than the one the Clymer manaual.

    THanks a million.

    snip - snip

Ahh... I don't mind being told snidely... but I forgot about Helm.
Old age. CRS. See ..being told snidely would work.

Guy named Lefty sent me the info I needed... The guy knows his stuff
and I appreciate his help. Using the info he provided I had turn
    signals in ten minutes.
FOund the site... very good site...
Yep.. I purchased a unit from a boneyard in Florida.. 400 bucks.
Maybe too much, but what can you do when you really need a part? And
I did get the headlight shell, headlight brackets and two turn signals
    included.

    Thanks again.
