Well, the place is rotten with Accenture, but no, it'll be IBM.

Apparently once the scar heals from where they implant The Chip, you'll
find it all very pleasant in a fuzzy, warm kind of way.

No, but I still have 11 working days as a full-time TU rep on employment
issues before I have some time orff then defect to the 'other side'.....

    What's yer question, precisely?

    Dave

PS. vague Rule #1: get written assurance of no contract changes after
transfer as TUPE only applies if continuation of current contract.
Otherwise you end up transferred under TUPE the, lo and behold, contracts
are rescinded and new ones issued which are detrimental...

Not for me, it won't. It'll be Accenture, CSC or Siemens as of the
    5th of July. :(

Don't really know where to start - fishing expedition, really.
Aha! That's the sort of thing.

Look, you've met me. I think it's fair to say that I have already got an
almost infinite number of chips implanted in my body.

No, these ones are different. They don't go on your shoulders.

Seriously? I used to work for DEC. It sucked. Mightily. I suspect IBM
isn't that different. I mean, Ginge...

Advice: Get a well clued-up, full time union person involved *now*. If you
ain't a union member, then join the most appropriate (GMB? I don't care if
they're a bit shite sometimes, they're a damn sight better than no union)
and get them to check everything in minute detail. Don't rely on lay-member
volunteers like me - we may be well meaning, but the full timers are paid to
be right whereas we do it because we *think* we *may* be right. If you're
that close to transfer then the time for lay-member/officer action is in the
    past.

And once they get the best deal, stick with them - no matter what you may
repel now, management *will* try to get it through the back door eventually.
    Honest.

    Dave

PS. Never take it personally, either. You lose every time if you take it
    personally.

The LTU and the C&G Staff Association have been involved in the
consultations, and we'll be getting talked to by them.

The chip doesn't go in your head, they put it in your ID card.

You don't weasel out of it that easily. Where do they put the ID card?

It's his turn in the barrel?

I worked for DEC, HP, CompuServe/AOL and they were generally okay. My gut
feeling is different outfit, same shit.
