A female friend of mine has a portable television that needs tuning in
and doesn't know how to do it - neither do I. My pissed efforts over the
    phone weren't much help.

It's a normal portable with an integral DVD player. What type is it? "A
    silver one".

It doesn't seem to have any secret flaps and has the word Dual on it. It
    has its remote.

    Any ideas?

I'll send you my daughters phone number and they can chat to each
other. Jennifer's got a silver tv with an integral dvd player and it
sounds as if they'd both believe they had the same tv.

  3. On the remote there is a probably a menu button... Pressing it may reveal
    much.

The site doesn't list Dual, but she may get a clue from some of the others.

IIRC these are from Asda. Tuning is automatic via the menu button...

She's very nice, just not that technologically minded. Brilliant
    organiser.
