I managed two laps on (Mad) Sunday. I think I may have set a new record for
a 1000cc bike on the second lap with an average speed of 10.78 mph. This
included twenty minutes to get past the Grandstand. Nose to tail traffic to
St. Johns. and a two hour wait at the Gooseneck while they fixed the fence
on the Mountain Mile after someone decided to ride through it at high speed.

The weather over here has been warm and sunny for the most part, the main
problem is sea mist which has delayed races today until a hoped for start
    time of 14:30.

It was foggy both in the morning and in the afternoon. Really warm in Ramsey
(and the Gooseneck) but overcast in Onchan and Douglas. I had arranged for a
group of friends to come round to my house at 4pm for a BBQ. They were all
there waiting when I turned up half an hour late after getting delayed on
    the mountain.

I was on a black Z1000, complete with passenger with a video camera velcroed
    to his head.

That's funny. It was actually one of those colour bullet cameras you can get
from R F Concepts, connected to a MiniDV camera in his rucsac. The picture
quality was pretty impressive. Most of it was off the back of my helmet, but
the rest of the view looked okay too.
