T's Machine in Austin

Don't give these assholes your business.

Per Lonestar BMW's recommendations, I took a pair of boxer cylinders
(cleaned and honed) and heads (cleaned and clearances checked) to T's
Machine (9705 Burnet Rd). I got my parts back dirty with cylinders
that have been half-assed. They 'vat cleaned' everything for 5 minutes
and ran a hone for a few seconds. I paid $70. Hell, I can buy a bucket
of carb dip at Autozone for 7 dollars and spend the difference on a
brand-name drill and hone.

I took everything back and, politely, asked what the deal was? The
proprietor starts cursing at me and yelling about how he hates
ignorant people. Wtf? Why is it wrong to ask for some value for your
hard-earned money in America? I can get the same thing done in El Paso
(including a valve job, for Christ's sake) for $60. He didn't like
that and told me I can (I'm assuming he was referring to my box of
parts however, his grammar was muddled in his rage) 'take it back to
fucking Taco Bell'. The guy wanted to get physical. Don't give this
ripoff artist/racist your business.
