There are certain bikes that I find look "just right" in certain
    Colours/Schemes

Then there are some colours that I just cannot abide for bikes.

Blue - I just don't like blue bikes. For instance , I could never
ride a blue Honda Hornet; but a Silver or red one gets my
    vote straight off.
I saw a Laverda Mirage once, painted in blue that was almost
acceptable as it was such a dark blue. But it just wasn't quite, well,
    "right"

Green - Well OK it is *the* Kawasaki Colour but not for me - thanks.
Surely the better looking bike here is pic 10 ?

Those dark green mettalic VFR's the late 90's are my idea
of a good bike in the wrong colour.

    Red - Works every time.
The King of Colours. Think: Ferraris, Sex, Lipstick,
    Sunsets, Ducatis, Sex.
It catches the eye - Derived from the primordial need to feed
    perhaps ?
Red: it's like pink but not quite.

Yellow. Sorry , can't think of a bike I like in Yellow
Ducatis and VRF's in yellow, look crap.

Black, It's Ultra. It's all colours, It's Shiny.
    Chrome is married to Black.
    Think Vincent, Brough Triumph;
He- Man Black - Matt- black Rat- Bike Black,
    I like Black

White ,I also like White for bikes.
Had a cbr400 in (mostly) white and (a little) blue.
Bugger to clean but nice to look at.
    Visible as well.

Orange : Laverdas. Unique. Like burnished orange
fruit glistening in the Italian sun waiting to be picked.
Of course the reality is that they had orange paint in bulk
stored in the factory because that's what they painted the combines
    and tractors in.

RF600's and SV650S's look thier best in yellow.

Silver is horrid, along with that awful copper colour on new model
    SV's.

    That is bad, isn't it.

But you're wrong. Black looks best on the SVs.
To me, the yellow ones look like someone's just snotted them.

Bollocks. My RF looks just fine in black, thanks. I certainly
wouldn't want to inflict an RF in a strident colour on the world.

Neither would I inflict so many feral apostrophes on the world in one
    short post ...

Mine is now, but if I ever have the need to get the ZRX resprayed I'm
getting it done in metal flake black.

That new "poo brown" for the SV's is horrific - I agree. The royal blue on
the 02 model was extremely nice.

The Yellow and Black FZ1 is pretty nice as well

and I personally think that yellow is Ducati's best colour.

There is a pinky/purple colour I've seen on some Trump Speed Triple's which
is your classic 'chilli-cheese-and-chutney" situation: although all sense
and reason dictates that it shouldn't work, it still does somehow.

I love my bike, and blue is the perfect colour.

No, no, not to my knowledge <fx:checks out of window>. DNC has been trying
to suggest the other side requires scratching, but I have another opinion.

It's semi acceptable to me as it's a Scheme not a solid
    colour.

    Still far too blue though,

  19. Black is the way for any self-respecting Kwak.

Kwak Green is hom and neg.
