without answering it.

I pointed out a few examples where your misinterpretations of my posts
said more about you than they did about me. *That* is Freudian. Though
you keep repeating it, you've yet to point out why it's apt.

to play with trucks, thinking that it's some sort of game. No wonder you
feel that trucks are out to get you - it sounds like you bring it on
yourself. YOU, sir, are the REAL danger out there, with all your little

You love citing a few instances with trucks that have happened to your
pathetic little life over the years, painting a picture of your hatred and
ignorance with a broad brush. I could, on a daily basis, cite how many lives
were probably spared because I'm a safe enough driver (as are most of us,
despite what you think) to be able to avoid the deadly situation so many
4-wheelers put other drivers in because of their selfish, ignorant actions.
My favorite is the "Oh crap - that's my exit, and I'm in the third lane!"
exit. One of the best ways to cause a huge pile up.

Anyhow, I'm done arguing with you, because it's obvious how much you enjoy

Since you asked, I have about 20k posts on rec.scuba, and have met and
been diving with 80+ members of the newsgroup in 9 states.

Probably about 100 of my 1000+ dives in 8 yrs. with group members from 4
countries.

I took a job as a truck driver 10 months ago specifically to allow me to
travel and dive in my every day life, rather a heaven on earth while you
cubicle-bound Dilberts toil away.

I'm not siding with anyone. But as WIFE of a truckdriver who was
driving to Kansas a couple months ago <my truckdriver was with me "back
seat driving"> I was practically mown down by an idiot with an
attitude....blaring his air horn and running me off the road. Not the
FIRST time......I had and idiot in Memphis with a big purty gold Pete
try to run me over.......my truckdriver says I did nothing wrong. It
has happened numerous times in Mobile, AL......they are ALL idiots
here......

Oh, BTW.....my husband hauls gasoline and is an expert on
idiots.....and BTW wouldn't cut me a moment's slack.....

In FACT...he's always traught me to stay as far away from trucks as
possible.....

This guy "The Cunning Linguist" ( a name he must be proud of but only shows
his IQ) is world famous. He's the guy in every safety movie that truck
drivers are required to watch by their safety departments. Some have a name
for him and so don't but no matter what the situation is this guy always
acts the same. He hates being the little guy getting shoved around by the
bigger guy. I'll bet he has the little man syndrome. So he's got to come out
on top no matter what the danger is. And everytime he wins a battle with the
bigger guy he feels great. But now his battles are less and less since more
of the bigger guys recognize this little man and know how to stay away from
this pathetic loser. So his frustration builds up and he gets more
aggressive everyday and soon his boss starts to see how hostile this little
man is. And just like all the rest of the pathetic attackers of the highway
they must make a change. They think back to the days of terrorizing the
highways and they must find that felling again. So out of work they decide
to go to truck driving school so they can become the KING of THE ROAD. It
doesn't matter who they work for so more often they take the job that will
pay for their school. Now they're the big guys and they must win no matter
what. Even if alot of the other drivers tell them they need to be safer they
think not until I win. Finally the end comes and if the rest of us that saw
him in the movie are lucky then he will be the only one with a head stone.

Actually, it's more like "Majority of Deaths are caused by 4-wheelers", but
if there weren't as many professional drivers out there as there are now,
I'd bet money that the death toll would be higher. But, in all honesty, what
you see, and what I deal with on a daily basis may vary, depending on the
location. I'm in the Boston area - unsure of where you commute, and doubt
you'll divuldge such vaulable information.

they are dangerous. But the really dangerous truckdrivers...which are
your AGGRESSIVE truckdrivers are O/O. With big laaaarge cars......age
range 25-35....who may or may not have a wife/family at home. God help
the wife and family if they DO have one......because their
psychological profile is ASSHOLE.

Inexperienced.

I'd rather share the road with an inexperienced truckdriver than an
ASSHOLE with an attitude and large car ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. It is MUCH
easier to dodge an inexperienced truckdriver than an asshole with an
attitude.

Outside of aggressive truckdrivers shit happens. You can get killed by
an inexperienced auto driver, inexperienced truckdriver, tired auto
driver, tired truckdriver, drunk car driver <probably your BIGGEST
RISK>, a retread tire flying through your windshield, some idiot in a
car on a cellphone, some idiot in a truck on a cellphone......but
someone who AGGRESSIVELY puts the view of his PETE BUMPER in your
rear-view mirror blowing his airhorns after playing GAMES on the road
is a fucking idiot.

As someone who lives and breathes trucks I can tell you for FACT it's
O/O's....and drivers for small companies <5-10 trucks or so>...who are
AGGRESSIVE drivers. Your average Joe Blow 4-wheeler only sees
"trucks". And believe it or not there are still alot of aggressive
truckdrivers out there.

Not ALL O/O's....there are a helluva lot of decent drivers out there!
But when fuel prices go up..stress levels go up............

As far as this yahoo in Florida? I still don't know.....he's
definitely at fault. He fucked UP! He doesn't fall into my previous
classification of "aggressive driver". It wasn't on purpose. Since
working for Crete he's regulated strongly as far as HOS....but I'd have
to say it's quite possibly since he started working local. If he was
working local nights....it's hard to sleep in the daytime sometimes!
So he may have been overtired. But his past record makes me believe
it's a little more than that......there are not enough cops out there
for him to have the record he has unless it is CONSISTENT lawlessness
behavior....



And since you can't tell your child which truck to watch out for you
will teach them to stay away from all of them if you are any kind of
parent. The aggressive truckdrivers are aiming 80000 lb death
missles....and a teenager in the car <who is 10 ft tall and
bulletproof> is more likely to play chicken with them than a soccer
mom.
