I remember many races that were Doohan first, daylight second...looking for
online records now. Only found '98 so far and Doohan did it hard that year.
    Several DNFs.

: Didnt all the gravel get on the track by being washed onto it from the
    heavy
    : rain?

    : there's a photo at

which gives a pretty good indication of how and where the shower of gravel
    came from

  4. Yeah - that explained the gravel on that side of the track, but I had
been wondering where all the shit on the other side came from.

Apparently Biaggi had a moment in the gravel on the other side which
is why he dropped back to 20th or something, and that was what cause
both sides of the track to look like a SuperMotard course ...

    Cheers

Biaggi was directly in the spray from Troy's bike and ran off the end of the corner crashing softly.
He picked the bike up but couldn't get it to start until some flaggies gave him a push.
He rejoined 3/4 of a lap behind and my hat's off to him that he actually stuck with it and finished the race.
(Kyonari ran off there a few laps later and rejoined ahead of Max but Max passed him a few laps later.)
