  1. Looking at a new (2003) Thunderbird. This will be my first British bike. Any
    strong opinions.

  2. My best mate has one (I have a 1200 Trophy).

Lovely, lovely bike. Great sound and feel. Not wildly fast (125mph or
so) but incredibly flexible and torquey. Really, really nice to ride.
Soul it has. Looks great, IMHO - much better than the new Bonneville.

Single front disc works better than you'd think. Rear shock is
definitely low-rent and best thrown away as soon as possible.

It weaves with Triumph's own handlebar-mounted screen on. Try something
smaller. Some form of wind protection is needed if you regularly ride
    over 70mph.
