Triumph Sprint ST misfire

    Sprint ST (1999 model) just started firing intermittently on left hand
    cylinder. Thought it might be damp as I'd just cleaned it however this
    morning symptoms still there except that this time the the engine
    warning light came on.. Don't have access to the manual so I'm
    assuming this is something to do with the ECU but can anyone let me
    know what it means.
