yeah, thought so myself, but sprint vs vfr800vtec ? tough competition for
    the triumph.

Rubbish. Even the old 955 ST was better than the VFR in any measurable
sense, i.e. faster, torquier, smoother, more comfortable, better
brakes (no linked crap) etc. etc.

    In what sense?

    ST has :

    more powerful engine
    equal or better handling
    lower price
    easier to maintain (no v-tec)
    No V-Tec
    ABS still an option
    etc.

I can't think of anything the VFR does better than the Sprint, except maybe
"being a Honda" and maybe the headlights.

Ok I was using the old trident sprint I had *heavy and seemed top heavy",
checking the specs, the dry weight of the new triumph is excellent 8kg
less than a bike with a 200cc smaller engine, nice!.

    Wonder how mpg compares though?

its £700 quid cheaper as well, that'll cover any extra mpg costs.... nice++!
