    Hi guys,
I am new to this but I have been watching for a short time and I was hoping
that I could get some assistence here for my bike.
    I have a 1994 Triumph Trophy 1200 4 and I need a new petrol tap.
I cannot get hold of one and it would take a while and many dollars before
I did get one from a dealer.
Would there be anyone out there who has a wrecked one or even know of a
wrecked one somewhere in Victoria, in the Northcote area, or anywhere?
I have broken off the small lug inside the tap and I also need the outside
    knob
    All replies appreciated
Parts would be even more appreciated
I have tried the wreckers that I know of, but they all have nothing to suit

    Thanks
    Pete C

    Yes ,
that was my first try I have always bought from the UK for the Triumph as
parts here are about 3 or 4 times the price and they take just as long to
    get here

as a US-supplied alternative. Note the part numbers are NOT Triumph
numbers but the fiche is accurate.

    Thanks alx,
I tried Metropolitan Motorcycle wreckers, but even though they had one, it
    wasn't complete
So I will try further looking and if I am unsuccessful, it looks like I will
have to pay out big for a new one
    Thanks again

  9. Other option is findapart. It's a website that emails your inquiry to a whole
    bunch of wreckers in aus.

    boner for trumpy parts
and may have something for you

and surprisingly he doesnt price gouge like some other wreckers like

    Thanks for your help.
Liverpool was the first one I tried and although he has plenty of Triumph
stuff, he didn't have what I wanted.
I eventually got a tap from Clem in Brisbane and I am back on the road

Could be worse. You might have got a tap from Danny Green in Perth and
been on your back in the road! :)

That would have taken a total of 5 seconds and I wouldn't have known
    anything about it
