My '62 triumph T100 has suddenly developed a misfire (actually almost
a total cut-out) when I open the throtle wide. From tick-over to half
throttle all is fine. Any ideas?

How about some info on what you're running as far as ignition system,
    carb(s), and charging system?

Good point. Carb (single) is Amal Monobloc currently running without
an air filter. Original ignition system with contact breakers (not
    digital) and plugs are N4.
I'm starting to think that it's a weak mixture problem as it runs alot
better on an open throtle when I use the choke.
