Bikes Only do motorcycle shipping and cover Townsville. Absolutely no
idea of their service, but they did donate a shitload of money to the
    Townsville toy run.

Yes, I can, but I don't think Townsville is on their list of usual
destinations, so maybe you've already got a quote from them and weren't
happy with it, I guess we'll never know. Ring a bike shop in Townsville
and ask them who ships their bikes. You might be able to squeeze onto
    one of their loads.

  8. as it turned out the bike went to someone else so no need to
    chase up t/port quotes :-(.
many years ago, back in the dreamtime you could take a bike to most
attended railway stations and for very little $ it'd be railed up to
ewe. was good as long as ewe werent in a hurry for the bike.
Then, someone decided that QR was no longer a "service" so must compete
in the "market". now, as far as i know its impossible to freight a bike
    or car by rail.
