I really don't know how that ended up gettin postd, it was part of an
msn conversation.

 

It was about how I'd chased a scrote up the road last night after he'd
vandalised mine and two other cars[1]. Caught the little **** and held
him until the police arrived.

I'd run a good 150 yards after a scared teenager who very much wanted
to get away, and I had just finished a smoke as well. Wanker-boy was
convinced I was going to hurt him and was offering me money not to beat
him up. As it was I wish I had, the Police took him home for his
parents to deal with him.

[1] kicked my mirror round, threw the contents of the builder's van
next door across the road and hung off the door mirror of a brand new
QashQai. Luckily everything went back together with no apparent damage,
so the copper decided to save himself paperwork and take him home
without charging him.

It's not fucking surprising that people take the law into their own
hands. When the cunting police do **** all, it's fucking frustrating.

 

If it had at any point looked like it was getting nasty I would have
just laid the **** out and not bothered with the Police thing. He had
no idea where I'd come from, and in a few days I'll be away from the
area because I'm moving.

 

I'm moving to a village just north of Bedford, just off the A6 bypass -
it's about 12 miles north of here. My new garage is 3 times the size of
my current one.

 

Maybe, but did he pay for the damage?

True, but it's a big "if"

 

Next time I'm stopped for doing 33 in a 30 I'll suggest to the nice officer
that he takes me round to my parents so they can sort me out. Must be
cheaper than three points and a fixed penalty.

 

The house is a 2 bed bungalow with a 3 car garage and 2 sheds that are
big enough for a bike each, plus enough off road parking for 3 cars and
a few bikes. Right next door is a corner shop that stocks ready meals
and there are a few chippies and takeaways in the village, and it's 50
yards from a pub...it couldn't be more ideal.

 

What part of "no permanent damage" are you having problems with?

Well, I'd guess that having a fright like that, being arrested by the
police and escorted home where it all has to be explained to his
parents is at least as likely to persuade him to mend his ways as any
sort of punishment the law might have been able to meet out. What
would you prefer as an outcome?

Or, I suspect, to the likes of North Wales Plod - they'll just do it
anyway, wait for 80% of people to pay the FPN, and if anybody does try
and take it to court quietly let it drop.
