When I said "I've no sympathy, because he was riding like a **** through
the 40 limit and that's what got their attention" she still couldn't see
    the difference.

    Bless.

The biker didn't get banned, that always means a much heavier fine.

He wasn't going that fast anyway. I used to do that road significantly
    faster than that.

The 40 limit is fair enough, there are some 30's along there too. If you
get nabbed on them, it's your own fault, but the open roads are pretty
good, if not a bit boring.

He was stomping it in the 40 limit when he went past the car and he was
doing the thick end of a ton through another 40 limit when being chased
by the VFR. He was nicked as much for stupidity as speeding.

Well, you would have thought the thick fuckers might have at least got
someone who does to speak on national TV. But, i know what you mean.

I agree on that bit, the 40 & 30 limits are actually justified on that
road too. Even I stick to them on that road. Where they finally got him
is just along boring straight that many bikers hit 130-140mph+ so he was
    pretty lucky ;)

The point is that they're talking to the coppers at the coalface, not a
PR bod. Most people watching, like the coppers, won't know one end of a
bike from another either so does it really matter if they quote an
exaggerated weight for a crappy 20 year old bike?

Well, it would if they tried to pin it on you on national TV & they
can't even get thier facts right.

But it's not me, so **** 'em.

That's usually the way, isn't it? Daft prats deserve to get nicked.

It's certainly been the case whenever I've been pulled.

Oh I commuted that road for 8 months on the ZZR last year pretty much
every day & in the 30's & 40's you got every fucking numbnuts on planet
GSXR & 10R hurtling through. I used to pass them at the start of the NSL
    pulled over by plod ;)

Only close call was unmarked Skoda VRS near the prison, but he just
pulled across & put on his rear blues on to let me know. Probably taking
    a prisoner or summat.

There was nowt else on ?

I did enjoy the bot where the horsey woman said

"He came around the corner, on his side of the road and braked sharply
which caused him to cross the white line"

and the cop said to camera, "that proves he was on the wromg side of the
    road" ....

Biker seemed a tosser anyway, so no problems there.
