Have a go at Veggie Dave. He's the one that seems to think that Green
Day is a former punk band.

Although the yanks seem to think they are; make of that what you will.

Hey kids, they're a part of the well known stable of anti establishment
rockers Fleetwood Mac [1] and Mark Knopfler.

Yeah but he gets confused because he's influenced by all those yank stunt
vids. He probably thinks Blink 182 is prog rock. A couple of buds and he'd
think Pamela Anderson is the Queen.

  12. Doesn't actually help - as it's what I said - doesn't have to be about
bikes but should have some relevance to the group as a whole. Jeremy
Clarkson doesn't fit that bill - he's never posted here.

    Which part of this:

"In theory, ukrm is for discussing motorcycles, in practice nothing is
    considered off-topic. "

....are you having trouble with, mein fuhrer?

    And which part of this:

"Join in or leave, it won't matter. The only option you don't have is to
change the way this group operates. It can't be done. If you don't like it
.... well, you know what you can do, don't you?".

....is it exactly, you haven't grapsed is a reality when it comes to UKRM,
given you've been around these parts for long enough to know that is exactly
    how it is overall?

Stop moaning you miserable old ****, and just mark the threads you don't
like, with 'ignore' if they bother you that much.

Same goes for others who appear to have a bee in their bonnet about a lack
of bike related content in others posts - just killfile the perceived
miscreants in question or 'ignore' the threads in question - simple.

Either that, or **** off to Yahoo groups, and start up a group which you can
then 'moderate' your own ikkle piece of internet pissing ground to your
    hearts content.

    "HTH, HAND. :)"

It's not the lack of bike related material or the fact they're off topic.

The car related threads (not tangential branches) are, quite simply,
repetitive and boring. They have no redeeming features as tall tales,
life experiences or erudite observations and are all too fucking common.

Killfiling isn't the answer; people thinking is.

But lozzo made a pointed remark about a UKRM regular who posts a lot
about cars. And that regular would fit the bill that this Clarkson
    doesn't.

Yes, so as suggested above, 'ignore' the thread, everyone is happy...

This problem goes further than simply threads I/we/others don't like so
just ignoring them doesn't make it go away.

They're a symptom of the lazy and, frankly, tedious thinking that is
    becoming increasingly prevalent of late.

Going back to my original point; I'd suggest people actually /think/
about what they want to say and they are saying. Before saying it.
