    In
You have have everything without sprouts.

Sprouts are evil pesky green things that are only grown to take the "joy"
    out of christmas.

No, A Fuckin' Mess is the name for the spag bol recipie I cooked with a
mate at uni once. We were outside the compulsory "few" beers before we
    started. The ingredients included:
    Tinned tomatoes
    Garlic
    Oregano, mixed herbs
    Bit of red wine
    Chopped chillis
    Oxo cube
    Sweetcorn
    Smash
Either Bisto or Bovril - I can't remember

I do remember it being a browny-green colour, and quite a meaty flavour.

  11. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Salad Dodger
With all that in, you certainly don't need sprouts to make you fart.

Merry Fucking Christmas to you, too.
It will, it doesn't matter how many times you tell me.

For the record: I have no great(or small) issue with off-topic posts -
it's the incessant car posts, once the clocks go back, that get on my
    nerves.

I'm sure something can be read into the fact that they always seem to
elicit more responses than any "what bike should I buy?" posts, too.

    In short: sod off.

It was, er, different. It looked horrible, but it was a case of
clearing out the cupboards and it was edible, so that was a bonus.

  14. The portly gent does have a point though - there are 13 cage newsgroups
in the uk.* hierarchy alone. Plent of places to chat about the
    wretched things.

I see some lackwit is even starting threads about Top Gear now (not the
    old John Peel programme).

    Good Crimbo then Uncle Bear?

  15. That's exactly what people said when Hitler started rounding up the
Jews. And you don't want all that unpleasantness again do you, cos
    it's what will happen.
Very pleasant. Just finishing off a nice bottle of port at the moment.

  16. And shiney shoes. Never forget the shiney shoes. I quite like shiney
    shoes.
As you may have guessed, I'm quite partial to a drop of decent port.
This one s rather nice, and was a gift. Which is nice.
That's the ticket. Never say diesel.

As I said, it's not OT: that I have an issue with - it's this group's
seeming obsession with fucking tin boxes.

  19. Good lord yes - a gentleman never polishes his own shoes. And you need
someone to beat if they aren't perfect. It's the only way.
If I may venture to be so bold: "Lightweight". I thank you.
    They're all pricey.

Some little tinker smashed the headlights on my Rangie the other day at
work, so I fitted the new ones today (20 quid a pair complete with
bulbs, thieving gits - although Santa bought them really) and also
discovered the reason for the odd braking for the last few days -
something to do with the fluid pissing from the front right hand
caliper I'll be bound. Again not cheap - nearly 50 quid for a new
    caliper for the ABS models.

See, car related, but in un-pertinant to this ng as it involves /me/.

Whilst I agree with you on the general OT point I find the, current,
barrage of car specific threads somewhat misplaced and, quite frankly,
dull. I could ignore them and mostly do but that's not the point; dammit.

You may not be able to herd cats but guiding them is possible: "This way
lies a canal, a sack and some bricks".
