I'd love to do Donington, but not only do I have a company meeting
that day that I can't get out of I think a trackday 5 days after
collecting the bike might be asking for trouble.

Donington is currently favourite. whether he'll go on his own or if he
can get someone else that would be best.

the alternate plan is for him to do donington and i'll watch and then
we'll stay a night or two in the BH.

I might be up for Donington, I'll have to check with work. Bear in mind
that I've only done one trackday though.

I need to do Mallory before mid-May.

How about that towards the end April/ start of May?

If he needs more 'moral support' I could possibly come along and watch
    too.

Full circuit including the Melbourne loop is it? Tempted to do it
myself, but not really ideal Roadster territory.

Went on a Chas Mortimer racing school day there (RD400s IIRC). I raced
there a couple of times on the Rotarini, including being lapped by a
certain T Rutter who turned up at a Formula Fifty Club meeting. For some
mad reason they used to sometimes put 250 singles, 250 LCs and unlimited
four stroke twins in the same race. Also remember doing an IMOC track
    day on the Morini.

I'd be up for Donington. By a stroke of luck I even have the day booked
    off work already.

As do I, but I'll be in a car on the way to Cornwall.

So that'll be a No then.

It's not moral support, it's just someone else to chat to when the
boredom of waiting between sessions takes its toll.
I think it's the national circuit so no loop but more laps per
    session.

I've got a long weekend next weekend and then we kick into a massive
amount of work in power stations so time off is difficult to get. So
difficult that my boss is sulking because I want to have a day off for
the TOG trip and a fortnight for the TT.

Not planning on experimenting with suspension settings or such like to
    relieve the tedium then?
So even less suitable territory. At least the loop provides two really
    tight corners for hillclimb tactics.

No chance. It took me ages to get it to a state where I'm happy with
it so I'm not changing it now.
I'd say the national circuit is certainly not the place for a hill
    climber.

I keep meaning to tentatively twiddle my rear shock thingy and try the
odd click different on the fork adjusters at a track day but never seem
    to get round to it.
Not unless I could have it to myself. A sprint from just before Redgate
to just after McLeans might be fun.

Anyway, the Donington web site circuit maps tend to suggest that they
use the GP circuit for track days.

I think they use both and change the price accordingly. I'd sooner do
the national circuit if I had to make a choice and I certainly
wouldn't pay what they ask mid summer.
