Myself and a few others will be at Brands with Focussed Events
on Friday 25th March (that's Good Friday for the Pagan^H^H
Christian amongst us) for the princely sum of £125.

Anyone else want to come along and join in the fun? I'll be
in the inters, hopefully on the race bike if it is back in
    one piece by then.

    Takers?

I land at Heathrow at 0630. Would it be wise?

well, not entirely. I might not have the 7R fixed by then either -
/hopefully/ get it sorted this weekend, though.

Mate, if you can swing it you're welcome to take
the 748 if I can get the 600 built up in time.

I've got a two bike trailer now [1] so taking them
both on the day is not a problem.

[1] which is open to free lending for UKRM'ers whenever
needed- just drop me a line and if I'm not using it
    you're all more than welcome.

I don't really think you want me thrapping your pride and joy round a
track after a seven hour red-eye in coach.

BTW, the last 998 in Kuwait has just been sold. A mate of mine bought
it. It's a 998S in red, and it was 7K sterling including shipping to
the UK. What a ****. In fact, he told me about it in January, and I
wondered then if I should buy it, decided to think about it, and
promptly forgot. Am a bit miffed.

Well, you bend it you mend it. I quite fancy a newer one :-D
Indeed. A lot of bike for that money, and the spec on the S is
as good as the R, just without the Ti con-rods and the carbon
fairings. I guess he's just got to get all the sand out of
    it now...

Lending the bikes or the trailer?

I'm not really bothered about either - they're only
bits of metal which can be replaced and I trust Ben
enough to honour that replacement if he fucks up one
    of the machines.

    You, on the other hand...

Bollocks. No one who buys a Ducati thinks of them as bits of metal.

Lovingly crafted bits of metal, I'll admit.

Once you've bounced it down the road yourself, letting
someone else on it becomes less of a worry. I've got
trackday plastics for it and on a track there's not
much to worry about - I doubt even Blaney could highside
    it even if he tried!

Yeah, it's funny how you think of these things once
you've pressed the Send button, isn't it!
