Heh. You missed a brilliant day - and to think I came very close to
bailing out earlier this week through nerves!

Big thank you to Loz for arranging it.

Today's highglights for me (in no particular order):
Putting more faces to names and seeing other folk I've not seen for a
    long, long time.
Overtaking a few people - unbelievably, I wasn't the slowest out there.
Spending some time on the track with one of the instructors who gave
    some brilliant feedback.
Having the suspension tweaked so that my bike handles better.
Having balls of rubber on my tyres <grin>, not quite to the edge of the
tyre but closer than than I've ever been before.
Getting home safe and sound on a bike that I hadn't binned, having had a
    great day.

    Still grinning.

I got soaked on the first session and even more soaked on the way home.
In my next life I'm going to tick the box for a bigger brain. With this
bigger brain I'll take note of the weather forecast, buy, bring and
wear a set of waterproofs like Simon, Daz and Lozzo.

Lozzo: Can you get me a set like yours, they looked good.

If it's any consolation, I got as far as Burford on my second attempt
before getting completely drowned. I holed up in a coffee shop for an
hour, then thought '**** this' & headed south west towards the sun.

    470 miles later & I ache like a git.

A wet UKRM track day and nobody binned it on the track? Unlike any
track day I've ever seen then. At least one of the decent riders could
have faked it and gone out with the novices......

Only the first couple of sessions were wet. After that it got very hot
    indeed.

so hot my head is a brighter shade of red. Thanks for organising it Loz
had a great time. Next time I bring some shorts instead of sweating
like a rapist all day. Good to put faces to names. Thanks to Mike for
showing me the way back to the motorway and all the rest that turned
    up.

  10. No problem, my SOs first words to me last night weren't "have a nice day
dear" or "glad you're back in one piece", they were "fucking hell, you
    lobster"

So you'll be selling the bike and buying a car then?

seriously - if you'd just stuck it out a bit, you'd have been making
    some use of your sliders.

Someone was saying "put your face where your mirror is" to get the

I decided when I got there that I may as well save some dosh and crash
    my own bike.

I had a whale of a time going round the outside of the slowerriders on
Gerrards and outbraking them into the hairpin.

Mr Bonwick/Bear: Avon Azaro 3 AV 45/46 STs rock. I had no problems at
all during the day and they stuck like shit to a blanket. they're
    shreeded to the edges.
