TOWNSVILLE RIDE

I may have missed them, but I did not see any messages on the Ulysses
Townsville AGM



By all accounts there were around 3000 bikes involved from all around
Australia.





I had taken a trip to Birdsville via Townsville (From Cairns) a couple of
weeks prior to the event in my 4 wheel drive, then from Birdsville to
Marybourgh then down to Brisbane and Sydney. I did notice a heap of bikes
heading North at the time.



On the way home it was very noticeable that nearly all the motels we full
even in the early afternoon, showing how many were travelling North

I drove back to Cairns and a friend of mine and myself got out our bikes and
rode down to Townsville for the AGM and a pleasant weekend..



Very interesting, all the little tents in the showground and thousands of
bikes there.



We both rode in the grand parade, which the Police cut up into sections,
rather than have around 3000 bikes ride around town in one big group.



Lots of locals out waving and taking pictures, the group was well received.



I had dinner with a friend at a hotel and they had signs in there welcoming
Ulysses.

Townsville put out the red carpet.
