Worryingly, that's what I had planned, aiming to be at Chimay for
lunch at the Auberge du Potaupré and a stopoff at the supermarket for
a few bottles of Rouge, Bleu and Trippel.

Looking like we'll end up in Givet[1]. I reckon I'll attempt to purchase
    some beans while I'm there...

This just gets better and better ) I'm sure I know of one other
person who would be up for it, too.

Will we get lots of opportunity to look at nice countryside with the
option of photos and stuff for the really interesting bits?

That's become our habitual stopping off place for the last night of
the holiday - heading homewards towards the Amsterdam ferry to
Newcastle. A bed at the Val St Hilaire - Auberge de la Tour - dinner
on the terrace by the river. Perfick.

Fucknoe. With Sarah on the back goading me on, I'll be absolutely racking
it through the bends, knee down all the way, back tyre looking like a
boil-washed wooly jumper by lunchtime. As I'm sure you can imagine.

I'll tag along with you, then. Prolly be on a Honda V4, as it happens,
given the rate at which the Evil Twin is leaking Magic Smoke...

    Nice town, it is.

The petrol station by the river does a decent coffee, too.

Supposedly, the R80RT, but the wholly and entirely mechanical problem that
had it off the road seems to have done something indecipherable to the
electrics. So I may end up advantaging myself of Statto's more than
generous offer of the loan of his VFR.

the indignity of an asymmetric conveyance?

Some bit work. Then I plug in the starter relay and the Magic Smoke starts
escaping. This particular sacrament also works with the newly-purchased
    starter relay.

I was referring, in a roundabout way, to the fragility of the R/R on
VFRs. So, if the Evil Twin is having Magic Smoke issues, then I want
to cover the likely bases for the Shite Old Viffer.

Also, what luggage will Sir require? Top box and panniers, or just
    panniers?
