Touring maps

    Or maps to assist in the art of touring... any recommendations? Not
    atlas style (will need to fold and place in tank bag) and immediate
    interest is northern France and Belgium.

    1 : 1 000 000 for areas you are just passing through.

    1: 400 000 for areas you are exploring.

    The 1:200,000 Michelin Series (230-245) were ideal, but AFAICT they've
    stopped making them. They now do a larger scale, which means more maps
    and more expense. 1:200,000 is, in our experience, the best compromise
    between space and accuracy.

    We now buy a 1:200,000 Michelin Road Atlas every year or two and rip
    pages out it to take with us!

    The one I have of the UK is pretty good - though it's at a high scale so
    good for A-B but not so good for 'interesting' A-B.

    Motrex now do a version, available in M&P and the like.
