  3. Are they victims of some sort of oppression or atoning for some sort
of defect in their personality or conduct?

Just asking, like, because I assume its only light hearted
    banter.......

Would you care to narrow your definition of "pollution" there a bit?

Given time I can dig up dozens of case studies demonstrating Pollution
linked Asthma incidents[1], but it depends on what you consider to be
pollution. Of course, I'm referring to Asthma attacks being *triggered* by
    pollution.

A classic one was in a South American country where deaths from Asthma
complications spiked every two weeks. Turned out to be the day a cargo ship
transporting grain was offloaded into silos on the docks. That was enough to
set people off several kilometres away.

It was eventually tied down to a miscreant immune system was it not? I
recall that it was noticed children from rural/agri backgrounds (like me)
didn't suffer from it, ever. There were also entire countries which didn't
    have the problem.

I believe it's exacerbated by it, sometimes considerably
    That's a good cure, though.
Fine. But they also pay the price of congestion.

  9. don't change the subject and while you're at it please identify where in
my comments to Mr Batey I said any of what you have posed as my
    viewpoint.

    Sheeeesh!

  10. so you're a doctor now. You must be the most qualified person in ukrm as
you appear to be the expert on *everything*.
Strange I thought almost all people who do use it pay for it via the
farebox given that almost all of it is run at a profit. I am an
honourable exception as I get my local transport free as an employee.

And just to round off the rant I don't wish to hear any fucking bollocks
about how inequitable it is that the poor taxpayer funds some of the
costs of the railways and a tiny fraction of bus services in the
country. That is totally justified public expenditure.

I don't, but only because every job I've done has involved me filling
the car up twice a week, minimum, in order to commute.

If I could find a similar job on my doorstep I'd do it, but with IT as
it is I'm not sure that'll happen.

Untrue. Both work and money are things I pay attention to day to day. I
don't take much of an interest in low-level politics as whilst it
affects me I don't believe I can personally change the situation other
    than when I vote.

I just heard on telly tonight (Discovery, I think), that cows produce more
    pollutants than cars.
    Tax the cows!

  19. However in reality, I think so. Not hard to do 33 mph in a 30 in north
Wales in the summer when the signs are obscured by the vegetation. 33
mph safety is different for vehicle weight for instance. But no, just
slap a gatso in place. Make more money. Reduce the speed limit, that
    will catch them out.
I don't read your Tory propaganda...
