In fact, most rural villages have a real shortage of domestic help cos the
poor old girls can't afford to live in the villages we now occupy.

I'd ride but the equipment I need to take would not
    fit on a motorbike !

However, the driving culture, especially the speed cars drive
    is very different.

Nice place to ride a bike too, (well, only in the Summer, mind you
trials bikes with snow tyres are intense Fun !)

  11. What about Dwarves? Other than that it makes sense (apart from the bit
    about Eire, obviously).

  12. Gawd yes; self-interest wins every time.

    I have a dream...

A land where people vote for the greater good

    Where selfishness dies out

Where every man is your neighbour and yes, brother (even if he picks his
nose and never changes his socks)

Bollocks, it'll never happen - I'm voting for Cane (and AndrewR as Poop,
    naturally)

    Can't you read?

The fucking headline is "Brown ups budget deficit to 9-year high"

    and it goes on:

The new deficit figure is the biggest that the Labour government has run
since coming to power in 1997 and the largest since the 43 billion pound
shortfall run up by the previous Conservative government in the 1994/95
    fiscal year.

Want to maintain your ludicrous position, Batey?

There are a great number of people working towards that dream, not the
Cane - "My Struggle" manifesto, the nice one.

Admittedly it's becoming a bit of an uphill struggle in the keeping the
    faith kinda way.

  19. You can be so thick sometimes...

The new deficit figure is the biggest that the *Labour* government has
    run
since coming to power in 1997 and the largest since the 43 billion pound
shortfall run up by the previous Conservative government in the 1994/95
