    That sounds awful.

Anyhow I'm completely off booze following list nights misadventure with
a £2.99 bottle of cava, a bottle of pernod, and then for an oncore
yawning in technicolour down god's magic telephone at some ungodly hour
    this morning.

Can anyone recommend some nice soft drinks please?

    Damn right I am.

I'm actually drinking Tesco Value Bitter

    2.1% abv, 92p for four.

That 0.1% makes *all* the difference.

Too right it does. If you bought Stella at twice the price (worked out
by ABV and price), you'd spend less time going to the toilet and hence
have more time to spend drinking.

  6. I can recommend not drinking a 3litre bottle of White Lightning,
although it probably is Tesco's best value booze.

After a particular night's drinking in Hulland Ward a couple of weeks
ago I can recommend a quick Resolve then back on the booze to dull the
    pain.

You may jest, but while queuing at the checkout I was about to tell
the wife "I feel a right fucking pikey with this value shit" when I
noticed the brick shithouse in line behind us had a trolley full
    of the crap.

Washes the Claret down a treat, it does.

I'm quite pikey-partial to the normal Tesco Lager at 4%. 12 cans for 7
quid. They do a premium one as well which is quite passable but it's
not far off the price of Becks in cans so I'd rather have Becks when I
    can afford it.

I wouldn't worry about that. He probably felt exactly the same way and
bought it for the same reasons as you ;-)

    'Real' (as in traditional-style) lemonade
    Orange juice and tonic water/lemonade
Virgin Mary (with full trimmings, tabasco, worcester sauce, pepper,

Well yeah, but I've decided I'm 'doing a Blaney' until the 2nd December
that way I'll get more mileage out of my Xmas drinking.

    So you've stopped?

I did a mental count of what I was drinking, and thought to myself "not
a good number" so I'm taking a break.

The upside, hopefully by Xmas I'll be able to get pissed on half a
    shandy. Bargain!
