Look what happens if you hang out at harley dealerships. First it's a
test ride, now you're planning your seduction.

You married men. Never satisfied are you? I'm not slumming it in a
Travelodge. Nothing cheaper than a Hilton & 2 bottles of Pomerol.

Hilton? And here was me thinking you were a man of good taste.

Mind you, you're talking about fucking Dan, so you're out on two counts.

I've only just noticed the subject line to this thread. Quite appropriate
    for this sub-thread.

The Hilton's where all the action is in Cardiff. Many a pretty young
student supplements their income by picking up lonely, corporate types.

At least I haven't stooped as low as WC. From the photos I've seen Dan is
not the prettiest specimen. At least he's younger than me.

I've actually had about 3 pints of mild in my life because it's
fucking horrible. I mostly drink larger when out because it's easy to
    drink and wine at home.

Almost says that in his autobiography[1].

buying but if you can borrow it, it's an interesting read amazingly.

    it. Perhaps I will.

Mild and Vimto [1], seemed to be a common variant on the Shandy theme
when I was a small child.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

When I read Barry Sheene's I went off him a bit.

I found it interesting because, like a lot of people I think he's a
wanker, but most people have conveniently forgoetten he's a
_successful_ wanker who can ride a bike bloody well. It's interesting
reading about how he got to were he got to in the sport and his
    attitudes at the time.

    I assume it's ghost written?
I've not read Sheene's official biog. However, I have read Mike
Scott's book about him, which I thought superb. Scott is imo an
excellent journalist, and really knows bike racing (editor of
Motocourse for the last 10+ years), and the book really seemed to
capture the incredible motivation of Sheene.

Supposedly jointly written by him and a chap called Neil Bramwell.
Bramwell has done a couple of other (auto)biographies as well.

Yah big southern jesse. It's right fucking gorgeous. It's all I drunk as
a lad.. helped by the fact it was 70p a pint compared to £1.10 for fizzy
    piss.

I dunno if they still do but there is a pub in Margaretting that has a
barrel of Ridleys mild on the bar. Two actually, one in use and one
    settling. Nice winter beer.
