If, over the course of the previous year, your turkey roasting tin has
accidentally become contaminated with, say shock absorber oil or used
coolant (or both), it can be returned to serviceable condition by the
use of Cif, a Brillo pad and lots of elbow grease.

If your wife is searching for the turkey roasting tin that hasn't been
used for its intended purpose during the previous year, do not try to
be helpful by admitting that you know that it is sitting under your
workbench in the garage half full of old shock absorber oil mixed with
used coolant. Your assistance will not be appreciated.

[2] In my case, the oven for heating up a set of MZ crankcases, and
memorably and disastrously, the dishwasher for cleaning up a 400 Four
sump that still had rather a lot of oil in it.

I have a twin burner camping stove and a steel plate for that particular
    job.

  5. Should've bunged it in the dishwasher; she'd never have known.
