Toolkit/Multitool recommendations

    Err, whats wrong with a bit of tube. I tried bleeding mine last weekend with
    one of those Halfrauds one man bleeding kits with a one way valve. It was a
    right fucker until I did the decent thing and cut the valve off. Easy as
    piss after that.

    Not correct. What draws the pistons back is fluid transference from one
    part of the system to another. As the master cylinder piston retracts
    back to it's resting place, the pistons will naturally draw back into
    the caliper. They don't have any choice, unless one or more sticks.
    I was always taught to only replace those that required replacing. I'm
    rapidly becoming very dissillusioned about the standard of education I
    received.

    Hmmm, I was thinking of using that as chain lube. Me being a bit of a
    lightweight I was more inclined towards using Diet Tizer as fork
    damping fluid.

    I always thought that, you know? Until I used a Mityvac. They are
    indeed the dog's danglies when it comes to drawing fluid. No pumping
    required, no stress, no panics about nipping the nipple (ooerr missus)
    up, nowt. Bit of grease on the nipple threads and Robert's a close
    relative.

    There's a lot to be said for the old-fashioned way - bit of tube in a
    pot of fluid, one bloke working the pedal/lever, another on the nipple
    (don't do it) but for solo ops, the Mityvac has it.

    This muppet here can't even get the spark plugs out of a suzuki. The
    little bastards are buried so deep they must be sparking in the sump and
    they're an odd size so I had to buy an 18mm long reach socket which I've
    subsequently found out is too wide to fit down the gap...

    I recently had a set of organic EBC (I assume these are the cheaper
    ones), they were so crap they couldn't even knock the rust off the cast
    disks.

    HH weren't too bad but were worn out even quicker than OE Brembo.

    Hah! BT,DT. The best (and perhaps only) tool in this situation is
    the one in the toolkit. If it didn't come with the bike, try to get
    one. Failing that, your best move is to obtain an old-fashioned box
    spanner of the appropriate hex size and grind it down externally to
    fit the tube in the head. To retain the plug in the box spanner, use
    a lump of Blu-Tak or stick a chunky magnet on the side of it.

    Unsurprisingly the plug spanner is the one thing that's missing from the
    toolkit. I tried an 18mm box spanner but that's too wide as well. Ho
    humm off to the Suzuki to see if they have one, if not its angle grinder
    time...
