  1. The San Mateo County Coroner's office has identified the victim in
Saturday's hit-and-run crash in unincorporated San Mateo County as
    19-year-old Rebecca Siebenmorgen.
Siebenmorgen, a student at the University of California at Santa Cruz, is
originally from Lafayette, according to the coroner's office.

San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies arrested Mark Eugene Henderson, 47, of
San Jose, in connection with the collision on state Highway 1, according to
    the California Highway Patrol.

Henderson was driving his Ford Ranger pickup truck south at about 5:47 p.m.
when, allegedly because of his intoxicated state, he let the vehicle drift
into the northbound lane in front of an oncoming motorcycle just south of
Tunitas Creek Road, the CHP reported.

The resulting head-on collision killed Siebenmorgen.

Henderson allegedly fled the scene before deputies arrested him. He is
charged with Manslaughter, DUI causing injury or death and hit-and-run
causing injury or death, according to the Highway Patrol. All three charges
    are felonies.

The incident closed both lanes of Highway 1 for approximately 2 hours,
    reported the CHP.
