Tonight I have mainly....

  1. Been straightening the twisted front end of a DT50MX. Gaffa taping up
the smashed headlight shell of said DT50MX to make it road-legal, after
    a fashion.

Taking said DT50MX round the block to check it steered straight.

Having the lights all blow in unison just as a car was coming the other
way, because in gaffa taping the headlight, I obviously made some vital
    wire touch something it shouldn't.

Turning the garage upside down in search of a 6-volt stop/taillight
bulb. None to be found. Stuck a 12-volt one in. Had a spare headlight
bulb, though. Electrics now, needless to say, perfect. I hate
    intermittents.

New headlight shell/fairing is £42. He can pay for that.

Dragged myself in through the kitchen door to recive a genuinbe 'thank
you' and reminded him that, at moments like this, it is good manners to
reward your mechanic with a drink. Got the stiffest G&T I've enjoyed ina
    long while.

    Next stop, the BMW.....

Why wasn't he helping you - no interest in the oily bits? I was helping
my dad restore Vincents when I was still in nappies - literally.

Bugger all he can do, with one arm in a sling and effectively useless.
Couldn't even get the cap off the tonic water bottle without help from
    his sister.

Possibly, but anyone with a mental age above three would have progressed
beyond gibberish. Presumably you understood it perfectly, as you appear to
to be a monosyllabic fucktard who's up way past his bedtime.
