I like that, it's almost profoundly strange.

Arsenide. We play metal. When we turned up to our second gig, we were
a little alarmed to find out that it was actually an indie night :p

    Yes, that's the one.

A bloke called Chaz used to own Flitwick M/cs

The guy (intials E.B.) actually started Flitwick motorcycles and sold the
business but still owns the premises, I'm told.

No idea how many bikes he's got - certainly dozens and dozens of 'em (could
possibly run into 3 figures ???) and he *never* sells them, apparently!!

    Keith G says...
That'll be the same guy who owns(ed) the Vauxhall dealership then. I was
always under the impression that the premises had been sold to the
current owner, and that includes all the downstairs units as well.
Didn't know about those, but there are some strange characters around
here, so it's more than possible.

The other three are in North Beds and I'm on the Herts / Essex border
    so it's no distance really.

OK, I've no idea really - I haven't had much to do with Flitwick, other than
I used to shoot clays there a while back (on a farm next door to a bird
sanctuary?) and used to have dealings with Kenny Hearn (Fensomes Transport,
if it's still going) - top bloke, but he would be a good age now, if he's
    still around??

My missus said last week *everybody* turned up for work on a bike!! :)

Kenny died four or five years ago. The haulage firm still runs
courtesy of the old lady, and his son Paul paints my vehicles.

    OK, thanks for the update.

I'm very sad to hear that, Kenny was one of the *good guys* - but not
surprising, given his age then and how long ago I last saw/spoke to him...

    RIP, Ken...

So am I, from Eynesbury - whereabouts in St. Neots and what bike do
    you ride ?

  17. Sorry, mate, but when I looked at the train times to/from KX and
the fact that I'd still have to get _there_ from here I decided to give it a
miss (esp. as the last train in would have had me walking home from UXB
anyway due to no more buses).

Your reputation goes before you. ;-)

Last year I was playing at a pub in Potton, there were about six there. I
left my PA and electric stuff in the van then sat by them and just did an
acoustic sing song, by the end of the night there were about 40 there. It
was fun. I got a repeat booking.
