For the tomtom rider experts: what is the difference between the
    "urban" models and, well, "non-urban"?

e.g. I can find the urban rider pro with uk and Europe maps & headset
    for 288.

I can also find (on say halfords) the tomtom rider v2 europe fo 339.

But I also find the rider v2 on the handtec.co.uk site for 299.

Given that used TT rider v2 wih european mapping seem to be going for
around 250 on ebay, buying new seems like a good option at these kind of
    prices.

It's just that the tomtom rider range does seem rather broad - so what
do I lose by going for the "urban" model?

The bluetooth headset. It still supports bluetooth, but you have to buy
bits separately. Other than that, and a few extra languages, they seem
    pretty much identical.

    Compare

    with

In comparison with the TTR2 (which I have, and seems fine) it seems to
possibly have a slightly bigger capacity for maps - the TTR2 can only
take a 2GB SD card which can take western europe or central europe but
not both at the same time.

  4. I have a 8Gb SDHC card in my TTR2. It does work but you can't update it in
situ. I update maps and speed cams by taking the card out and updating in a
    laptop using Home

One other difference between the Urban and the TTR2 is that the Urban has
lost the Traffic facility. This is the paid for subscription service. I use
this and have found it pretty useful. Obviously hardly anyone else did so
    tomtom ditched it.
