Owen's TomTom One went tits up yesterday (suddenly went blank,
charging it does nothing except put on a green light). Does anyone
have any ideas of anything to try? Otherwise, does anyone have an old,
outdated SATNAV to sell cheap? It only needs basic UK-only workings.

There's a reset button on them you can get at with a straightened out
paperclip, it's normally on the bottom of the unit, just a little hole
with the word reset by it.. give it a push and it should do the trick.

When mine did that it was because the battery was so utterly flat it
    couldn't do anything.

Needed leaving charging in the car for a few days before it would
    boot.

Thanks for the replies. My TomTom is now reset, reloaded and
(hopefully) fully functional again. Temporary failure might have been
due to excess heat... Dunno... Connected to the computer, reset,
    followed the boxes...
