Right, I've gone shelled out loadz of hard earned shekels and acquired
myself the latest Tomtom Go 910 GPS. I know it's not waterproof, but any
suggestions as to whom might do a waterproof jacket for said beast.
My Garmin SP3 has proved admirable over the last 5/6 years or so, but I
thought I'd get me up-to-date with a new gizmo. I'll just use it in the car
if needs be and the SP3 will still be a great bit of kit on the bikes.
But I'm sure that somebody must make a jacket, as you can get them for
camera's and mp3 players etc. I just haven't got a clue as to who might such
    a thing.

    Google was *not* my friend.

    TIA.

That reminds me, I need to do a 'paging Cane' post.
I thought everyone had agreed it was a girl's bike, not a gay's bike?

And quit your grooming ways you perv. Just because BGN stood you up
there's no need to take your sexual frustration out on me.

    That's the sort of thing.

I tried the 2610 but the lack of internal power was a serious problem when
travelling. Great bit of kit though.

Good suggestion, I'll think about that one, but as yet, I don't have a
dremel... but I do have an angle grinder ;o)

My Dremel died recently, so I don't either. An angle grinder will work
for cutting the rough shape, but you'll have to leave a fairly big
margin to finish off on a sander.

I found cutting near the required line with a Dremel then removing the
excess with a bench sander gave the best results. The heat from the
sander melts the edge of the acrylic, giving it a nice clear finish too.

Mine is is powered from the bike. I tend not to plan routes on the
2610 itself but do it beforehand on the PC but even so, standing by
the bike with bacon butty in one hand and fiddling with the other is
    doable. :)

    Very true.
But when I was in Texas last year, it was far more fun sitting by the pool,
beer in hand, soaking up the rays. Or, even sitting in the hot-tub ;o)

    That 2710 looks super nice!?

  14. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Greybeard belched forth and ejected the
    following:
Go to Iceland (the pikey food store, not the country) and get yourself
    some freezer bags.

    Job's a goodun.
