I updated my TomTom Rider V2 to the 2GB Europe Map about a month ago.

Just noticed its got full street level Pahand Island coverage as well
as all the Nordics, Poland and certain large cities in Russia.

    Thats all.

How do you do that? I've got the old TomTom One and it doesn't seem
to offer a map update option on the sync thingy

I bought the better map sometime last year iirc when they had a
    discount on the latest maps.

The 2GB Map had better coverage to start with I belive.

Tom Tom home synched last week and as I'd subscribed to the 4 maps a
quarter deal in the apres xmas sale thingy, it updates the map
    automagically 4 times a year.

It may have been on there all the time - its only in the last week or
so I noticed it as I've got to visit an assembly plant near Krakow
    next month.... Brrr.

You have to pay for the upgrade and download it from the TomTom Home
    website.

Ahh, right. Probably almost as cheap to buy a newer tomtom.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with what I've got for now, and update the
whole machine for a better one at some point if I need to. Mine's
only the mega basic one and I'm sure things have moved on.
