Tom Delayed, butt' finally steps down!

My local paper headlined the story
from AP, that Rep Tom Delay stepped down as House majority leader, Sat.
01-07-06, under pressure from his own party staggered by an
    election-year corruption scandal.
U.S. Rep. Tom Delay,R-Texas had previously quit his leadership post,
after he was charged, but always insisted he would reclaim his duties
    after clearing his name.
Now that he has formerly resigned as the Rep. leader, the race to
    replace him is ON!
Democrats claim that the culture of corruption is so pervasive in the
Rep. conference that a single person stepping down is not nearly enough
to clean up the Rep. Congress.
The Democrats must gain 15 new seats
in November to win back control.

(here's the kicker, in the AP publication, that dumbfounded me. I reread
    it numerous times, too)

The article continues: The 58 year old Delay, an exterminator before his
election in 1984, said he intends to seek reElection next fall! And so
    4th and so on.
''Exterminator''? Has anyone ever heard or read this. He was a Terminex
    man once?
You know usually politicians were former lawyers, business tycoons,
    teachers, judges, wrestlers, actors, :but:
    ''Exterminator'', like bug spraying expert.?
Shoot the only other famous (Ex)Terminator was or is the current
    Governor of Ca. BJay)!

Whew.. This thread is a revealing exercise.. By golly, ol' Jerry really did
some research and investigation on this one.. <chuckle> Sheesh, I think he
went back all the way to Harrison.. "Heckuva job, Jerry"..

hmmm.. Makes me wonder, though.. There's little doubt about your political
persuasion, but perhaps when history is written about this Bush
Administration, it will expose the most corrupt administration, ever..

''Exterminator''? Has anyone ever heard or read this. <<

This is true. I know the guy that was DeLay's business partner for a while.
Everything that this guy told me a few years ago about Delay is totally
consistent with the crap that's coming out about him now. Corrupt, power
hungry and arrogant! If I were going to say anything to Delay now it would
be to repeat the words of our "esteemed" governor that he laid on a local
Houston TV Reporter after an interview was over a few months back.... "Adios
mo-fo!" (the dipstick didn't realize the camera and sound were still on).

Rep. conference that a single person stepping down is not nearly enough
to clean up the Rep. Congress. <<

I agree. Since we're speaking of roaches (both insect and human), if you see
one there's a lot more in the walls you can't see. I hope to God that these
thieving scum all get thrown in jail for a very long time. And for the sake
of fairness, I hope any Democrats that were on the take get the same
treatment although I think their numbers will be miniscule compared to the
Republicans. Corruption, especially on the scale that's becoming apparent,
has got to stop or we'll just devolve into a society that resembles most 3rd
world countries where nothing gets done without bribes & payola.

Don't **** with me, boy.. My post is in response to yours.. Yessir.. there's
no doubt at all.. you are a Bushwhore with a complex..

If all you are interested in is motorcycle topics, then stay the hell out of
the discussions that pertain to politics.. See there, problem solved..
    <grin>

If you don't post to those political threads, there is no need to respond to
you, on them.. right ? Then you don't have to bitch about no motorcycle
content when you are responded to.. right ?

You hit the nail on the head.. Mick.. To me, the most pathetic attitudes of
all, are the ones who claim with a straight face, that George Bush misled
them or deceived them .. George Bush has historically announced his
intentions of turning this democraticall governed Republic into an
authoritarian ruled government.. a dictatorship. The clever use and parsing
of words thinly disguise this agenda for him, but it is clear to anyone who
has ever seen an authoritarian government, up close..

Whooie.. Boy.. howdy.. Usenet sure does make some folks get superiority
complexes, don't it ? ROTFL.. You sure do get all entrenched in posts that
have nothing to do with motorcycles, don't you ? Seems like all the
motorcycle threads on this newsgroup, don't interest you at all..
Noticeably, you only participate in the threads which are off topic, while
you ignore the threads which address motorcycle issues.. hmmm.. Ain't that
just a bit peculiar ? Aw.. well.. That's usenet, isn't it ? LOL...
    Cheers..

    Very witty, BJay!

I feel the best extermination job Tom Delay ever did was when he
exterminated the trust I had in my Government. Corrupt sonsabitches.

You forgot to list President Jimmy Carter, who lusts in his heart after
    women.
    That rat bastard.

I can appreciate and sympathize with you boys sentiments and concern about
the statues being blown up in Afghanistan and all.. I can even go along with
your resentment for Texas not allowing you guys to get married.. But dammit,
when you dudes start harping on someone not being able to remember how old
he is.. even if he is the president... that's going too cotton picking far..
You've crossed the line there, gents.. Consider yourselves on my "list"..
Now, let that be a lesson to you both... hmmmm... Where'd I put that damn
    list of mine, anyway.. ???

LOL... Not likely. Jerry is one of the Bushwhores that wouldn't recognize
corruption.. Tom DeLay has been censured by his own party.. hmmm.. What was
that ? Three times in one sitting, or something ? George Bush has
blatantly lied so many times, we've lost all count.. Dick Cheney has bribed
and manipulated the Halliburton conglomerate to financial strength..
Rumsfeld has exposed military members to extreme danger with pharmaceutical
    experimental drugs.. etc.etc.

The Bushwhores talk a lot about how they will "hang 'em high", if anything
is "proven" .. hmmm.. No "proof" of corruption will meet the means test,
however.. Even court convictions won't meet that standard.. with the
    Bushwhores.. Regards
