I was on a Beckett proddy tuned RD400, it costs a small fortune in fuel.
I reckon it would have been cheaper to get a hooker locally.

    Not my finest hour.

    Anything like the Norton AV?
Mine too, but a few people are still quoting him, and if they don't
desist, they'll be joining Ken there.

Amongst the carboys and demijohns I've a net of onions hanging up (er,
they're hanging down, is this right?) from the ridge in the shed - the
shed lined-up for the bike stable - and yesterday, while groping for a
    handful of onions, I dropped a couple. <Oops! Pardon>

It occurred to me that as the onions which fell on the floor were a) out
of sight; b) unreachable; c) behind a pile of ply, a sack-barrow, garden
tools, polythene sheet, etc., perhaps I ought to get down to clearing a
space - after all, there will be a sidecar on the side of the machine
    innit.

    Watch this space.

That post really does tell anyone all they need to know about the
"bikers" who post in this forum!

Up to now I have not seen anything to suggest that any of the regulars
    could call themself a "motorcyclist".....................lol

Then you play straight into his hand don't you? A troll gets it's
jollies from causing disruption. A good troll will be able to keep this
up for quite a while before folks get bored and just ignore[1] it and
then it sort of fades away. Ken has long reached this point, his
diatribes about TOG et al fall on universally deaf ears. He has also
yet to prove any particular technical expertise or knowledge which may
be of use in a group such as ukrmc. He is out of place and knows it,
just ignore /him/ and he will go away soon enough, there is no need to
publicly demonstrate your childish intolerance by admitting you put him
and those who respond to him in a killfile. Just do it and shut up
about it, anything else really is feeding him.

And another thing: this is Usenet, this sort of shit happens and if you
aren't able to cope with it you should really consider doing your
    reading elsewhere.

You seem well versed in making childish personal attacks on people, but
seemingly have a lot less understanding of anything to do with bikes
(other than cheque signing of course!!).

Pray tell why if TOG is not a clueless ****, did he tell someone last
week that they needed to split the cam chain to remove the cam from an
    XS650?

The sort of prick that posts this sort of bollocks clearly has never
worked on an XS650, and shouldnt really be giving people the wrong
advice on here, unless that know what they are talking about!

  12. That's a relief - so I'm not the only one who has been just siezed by
the sheer exhileration of acceleration and done something like turning a
quick a 'round the block' test of a rebuild into an all-out assault on
the land speed record on the fairly distant Straight Mile on the Ongar
Road, and then done a fairly comprehensive tour of the county...
