I took my first pillion on the Zephyr (M'boy). Cranked the rear shocks up to level 4 and off we went to his works depot to collect some PPE in readiness for college on Monday. Strangely, riding the Zephyr with a pillion on is much the same as riding it without one. We wafted around the countryside, ending up at M and P in Dorchester, where he bought a new chain for the TS (Sunday's project). The Zephyr seemed great with a pillion, much different to the CB500 which always felt a bit too top heavy. Anyway, next job has to be a carb balance (paging Lozzo). On the way home we had fun with a chap in a 911, who just couldn't get past us (nothing to do with our speed, it was purely due to the width). Once home we started upon replacing the front flush mounted fairing homdicators on the NSR with some new carbon fibre lookie-likie blingdicators scored off Ebay. This was a bastard of a job, which involved lengthening the stems of the blingdicators by drilling out the centre of a couple of M8 bolts, without the luxury of a pillar drill (oh how we laughed). Anyway, having nicely molished them into position we found the bulb ratings were to ****, so off to Onyerbike for me tomorrow to try to resolve. And the fucking NSR keeps pissing 2 stroke oil all over my shed floor. Anyway, then on to the TS, which has been run for over a week with no end can. Much molishment, swearing, and pure marvelment at the amount of sticky black shite emanating from the exhaust of such a small machine ensued, which resulted in the now somewhat battered Dep end can being refitted (seems he had tried fixing it earlier in the week using sellotape and a soldering iron). Fucking bikes fucking rock. Oh, and the money turned up for the old CB500 race can which I Ebayed, so that got posted off today too (I was starting to think my first Ebay sale had been to a non paying bidder, but no, he came good. My old zorst should be featuringh in the CB500 Cup soon). -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr (Regal Barge) M'boy's current bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Heavily fortified) M'boys NEW bike 2003 Honda NSR125R (Bling) BOTAFOT #140, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow)
