... a Honda Rune. A what? You may well ask: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/289/7274/Motorcycle-Article/Memorable-Moto rcycles--Honda-Rune.aspx A cross between a naked Goldwing and a Valkyrie crossed with a Christmas Tree, sponsored by Solvol. Physically intimidating, festooned with footboards and pegs to suit every style and position of rider, you really wouldn't want to be riding the one I met with the sun over your shoulder - you'd be dazzled by the reflections from all the shiny stuff around the bars. Strikingly beautiful in a cruisery way, it sounded unlike any bike I've ever heard - fantastic bark from the standard pipes. Not my thing, way too heavy for me, but I can see the appeal nonetheless. A rare (and because of that, appreciating in price) and strange monster, I'm still grinning at the looks of the thing.
I heard/read that George Clooney bought 6 of the fuckers so that his friends would all be able to ride with him when they visited. I can't imagine having a garage with 6 brand new/unused bikes parked in it myself. == Beav
I remember seeing this monster at the bike show some years ago and thinking it would never sell. Still, some folk have more money than sense. Saying that, the dragster version they have on your link there is quite the little sexpot =)
