....in Maidenhead. Nothing special except for filtering all the way from
the A1M junction of the M25 through to the M40 Junction. I usually have
to filter part of the way but not all the way, I endorses one of the
reasons why I ride a bike. Also, I didn't see another biker so has the
    hibernation season started early?

Filtered round from the A12 junction to Maple Cross this morning. Only saw
two bikes: a Goldwing who was in lane 2.5 but not filtering even though
there was room and a Pan on the hard shoulder.

Looks like it. There seemed only to be me and the usual allotment of
suicidal couriers out and about today but an astonishing amount of white
    vans.

Perhaps all the summer bikers driver white vans out of season, that
    would explain a lot.

That is a bastard stretch of road for sure. Done jams there twice by cage,
probably 45 mins extra at least, but its a bit of a hoot when next done by
bike. I wonder how many people miss their Heathrow flights due to that.

Am I extra-hetero, then, for commuting by car yesterday and by bike
    tomorrow?

I passed the Goldwing just before the M11 turn and saw the Pan at London
Colney. At the rate the Goldwing was going [1], I'm certain the Pan would
have been recovered well before the Wing reached him.

I have to do that most every day of the week, albeit going t'other way
    around i.e. M4 -> A1 (or, more often, M4 -> A405, A414 - more fun :))

Coming home before, on a number of occasions, I have had to filter all the
way from J22 to J15; not fucking fun in the slightest. No wonder I'm
    going greyer by the day.

It's one reason I got the loudest fucking exhaust (short of having a
megaphone tube attached) was to wake up some of the useless fucking
cretins in cars on that stretch.

Handy you should pop up here.

Do you remember your stated ambition involving small children, as told at
    the EOSM?

    KSB will do it :)

Don't knock it, you're lucky you've still got something to go grey.

    No!

If it involves murder, better not post it here.
    Never done one.

Heh, no it was, IIRC "to make a small child cry"
    Try it, makes me grin.

    Can't imagine why that's an ambition (still, I was turbo-cunted). A
simple chinese burn will do it - or telling them that their parents
    don't want them any more.
Serious question: doesn't it **** up one's end cans?
