TMRA II has got it Right

The old Green one was nasty and overdue for a little rip from Irving to
Ft.Worth.. Pretty nice evening for it too.. Sure was nice to ride up to the
American Legion Hall and be greeted by the brothers there.. Even some of the
non-members of TMRA II asked me where the hell I'd been for so long..
Preacher done one of his world famous bear hugs and told me everybody was
inside ..

There they were alright. The only one missing was ol'Dreamer and he had to
work this evening.. Mike Alvey called everyone to order and started that
first meeting of the New Year 2005.. Preparations for the upcoming meeting
of our legislature were top of the agenda.. TMRA II will be well represented
at the Capitol..

I never realized just how much preparation and thought had gone into the
organization of our presence and impact will be when the Legislature opens
on Monday.. Bikers all over Texas and yes, even the Nation will have their
voice in the new laws which will either be defeated or passed..All these
TMRA II brothers and sisters never cease to amaze me, with their dedication
to the cause of freedom and liberty.. Most importantly .. they are dedicated
to each other.. Strong bonds of support is demonstrated in the support and
consideration shown for each member, who can freely voice his opinion ..

The party lines are forgotten, one of the most respected and thoughtful
brothers is a damn Republican, of all things.. When Brother Andy takes the
floor, as he's invited to do many times, each member pays close attention to
what he has to offer ..

New officers of the Chapter were elected last night, and each one of them
were unanimously placed in the repective offices.. Those outgoing officers
all have done a fine job for the past year, the incoming ones have got big
boots to fill.. No doubt, they will fill those boots with the same
dedication as their predecessors..

In all.. it was a good and productive meeting..

I look forward to the upcoming week and to the next Chapter meeting, next
month..
