Anyone know a Triumph dealer in striking distance of Harlow, other than
Ongar and North End? Apparently the Sprint needs connecting to an
computer to find out why there is no spark? I suppose I could do
Flitwick at a push but getting it there and back is going to be a
*right* PITA. Especialy since the MOT on the Alfa expires on the 29th :(

None, according to the Triumph web-site: Flitwick is the 4th closest to
Harlow, with Metropolis being in 3rd between it and the two you've
    discounted.

You've then got Carl Rosner (Croydon), Jack Lilley (Ashford) and
    OnYerTriumph.
    Quite.

If you want it sorted by Flitwick then be quick. They've only this week
announced that the Triumph franchise is being dropped from their
repetoire. I'll lay bets on this being because Triumph want them to go
solus, and all the shit that goes with it.

Are you working there ATM? I've just got AA homestart so they can pick
it up probably Wednesday to take it somewhere, but Flitwick and Ongar
are both closed Mondays so I have no idea if they are booked up or not.

No, I haven't worked there in 5 months, but they are a mere stone's
throw from my front door. They'll be open tomorrow morning at 9am, so
give Ian in the service dept a ring then.

You *really* do not want to go to Ongar!
Sales and service wise they are utter, utter shite and cunts! Rob in the
clothing/spares and accessories knows his stuff though and is the *only*
    helpful member of staff.

    IMHO of course.

Service wise, probably Jack Lilley is one of the better Trumpet fixers in
    the near-ish locale.

I bought it from there, and even posted 'Ongar in non cunts shocker' at
the time. Believe me, I'd rather not, but I *need* a bike...

    Rob in the
Flitwick is just closer, and almost certainly easier to get to. I'll
see if anyone can do it.

I agree with almost everyone, but they have a diagnostic computer that

Never had any dealings with Flitwicks, but if Lozzo recommends them, then

The spanner monkey can't read though ;o)

On the last dealings I had with Ongar, they didn't have a qualified Trumpet
mechanic. The _mechanic_ wasn't qualified at all!
Things _might_ have changed of late though, but I'd never trust them on my
    wheels.

Well, absolutely. There is a double plus that I *may* be able to
persuade Lozzo to pick it up and let me come get it out of office hours.
Of course, Lozzo doesn't know I'm likley to suggest this, so I'd be
grateful if we could keep it quiet ;)

ordered some steering head bearings early one week, they said they'd
    be in thursday.

phoned thursday "yes we have them".

thursday evening got knocked off bike.

friday went to Ongar to pick said bearings plus some other stuff. no
bearings, only some of other stuff.

Asked if they could be ordered "yes but you wont get them til
wednesday as we're closed mondays". eh?

Can I pay extra and get them delivered sooner, like tomorrow. no
trumpet dont do anything like that.

can you phone them and ask as I'm booked on a track day on tuesday.
    no, we know they dont.

Veggie phones trumpet who say that a)ongar have ordered nothing from
them in weeks and b)they do next day delivery for a charge of £25,
    even on a saturday.

    cunts.

trumpet say that I should go to Jack Lilleys as they hold more stock
than they do themselves. JL were very helpful and stayed behind when I
got stuck on the car park that is the M25.

so as I said...Ongar and specifically the parts bloke are cunts.

Seems that I'll give Ongar a miss completely now then.
Must be a terrible epidemic of cuntishness spreading in the Ongar region,
    best avoid at all costs

I have a feeling that wasn't Rob, the current parts guy. He hadn't been
there very long when I started with the last firm, and that was just
after you bought the black Daytona in 2004.

I'll agree with everything said about the rest of them there though.
