Tire Mounting Question

Buddy of mine owns an auto repair facility. He has a tire mounting machine.
Is it possible to use this for mounting a motorcycle tire? I'm just
wondering if the clamps to hold the wheel down would work with a motorcyle
rim.

 

I'd suspect not. Not unless the units have undergone major
changes in the last few years.

Automotive tire mount/unmount units use a threaded rod that
extends through the hub-hole of the wheel. Don't most cycle wheels
include the axle? That would block the rod...
