Tire competition at specific tracks?

I am a new poster here, and have really enjoyed all the posts to my last
    question on rider ability.

Now, again as a new fan of motorcycle racing, can someone tell me what makes
a track either a Dunlop track or Michelin? Are the tire compounds developed
with different techniques that just happen to make them better at some
places than others? I would assume the compounds are different, but there
must be some manufacturing philosophy differences as well.

From what I have read on this group, it seems that if you take a very good
rider and put him on several different tires, he possibly will have quite
different results thoughout a season. Does this come from a certain "feel"
to the tire as the race progresses that is consistent throughout the brand?

When Bridgestone won at Motegi, I believe I heard someone mention how it was
a Brigestone track. So, what would make Motegi track highlight specific
features of the Bridgestone tire over others?

I believe it is Bridgestone's home test track.
I know from my perspective that I like Bridgestone's and dislike Dunlops.
For me it is a profile issue. The Bridgestones don't seem to fall in on my
    Daytona like Dunlops do.
I feel more secure on the Bridgestones.
